Created to coincide with the Olympics in London 2012 and remounted by The National Ballet of Japan, each costume design for FasterĀ alluded to a different sport; marathon runners, basketball player, wrestlers, synchronised swimmers, fencers, gymnasts and javelin & shot-put throwers. Monochrome and metallic hues only were used for the first two acts, the final act exploded in colour.

“Becs Andrews avoids literalism in dressing the dancers but conveys the provenance of the sports they represent supremely well”
