Through His Teeth

Part of the Royal Opera Company’s Faustian Pact –  one set, two very different operas, both loosely based on Faust.

Through His Teeth is a psychological thriller about sex and obsession – used sliding screens with spy holes through which video projections of CCTV and live video feed invoked the paranoia and shifting reality for the central character, “A” (Faust), tricked by her conman lover.

“Distorted values, distorted reality. The designs (Becs Andrews) capture the psychological dislocation implicitly in David Harrower’s deceptively simple text”
